Dear EPBC family, after much prayerful consideration, we have decided to postpone our public ministries and worship services. This important decision is based on two vital matters: the safety and protection of our church family and because we are a community within a broader community. Consequently, we want to do our part to limit the potential exposure to the COVID-19 contagion to you and your family and reduce the possibility of spreading the virus in any way that we can. For now, this includes voluntarily choosing not to gather together.
With the potential risks to public health and safety, we believe that this is the best course of action for now. We apologize for the disruption and inconvenience that this may cause. Please be assured that we will continue to monitor the information carefully.
While it is true that we are stepping into a time of seeming uncertainty, we have every reason to face the future with faith, hope, and confidence in the Lord Jesus Christ. He will not leave or forsake you! Trust him for the grace that you need for a right relationship with him today, and rely on him to face the uncertainties of life ahead. Even during difficult and uncertain times, the Lord has proven himself to always be faithful and trustworthy (Lamentations 3:19-24; Romans 8:38-39; 2 Timothy 1:12). He is our confidence.
We are extremely grateful for the tireless effort that Alberta Health Services, who, along with all its levels of caregivers and care-giving, are working to ensure public health and safety. Please pray for them. In this time of crisis, please look for opportunities to be a good neighbour; contact friends and family to let them know that you care. So, too, may we remind you that if you or your family have prayer or spiritual needs, or if you find yourself discouraged or feeling alone, please do not hesitate to contact the church office; we will do our best to return your call as soon as we can.
With sincere love,
Pastor Robin, on behalf of the Elders and leadership team
